Greatness

Greatness is an attitude. It’s a way of seeing the world. In life, some are great. Some are the agents of impact, some for the positive advancement of mankind while some hold progress back, and yet others take the world neither backward nor forward but rather they veer off the road sideways, leading us all to an entirely new horizon. Some great individuals focus whole peoples in times of desperate need, shepherds for a tumultuous flock. Still others remove the blinders from the bridle and introduce a whole new perspective outside the existing narrower focus. But no matter the way a great individual shapes the world, each has been set apart from the crowd, either by one’s own works and courage or by the appointment of circumstance. Either way, by such separation the masses begin to see more than just flesh. For at the time of need, when greatness is born and the leader is no longer of the crowd, humanity is shed like clothing and the person must bear the robes of an idea. In this new skin, the transformation is complete, and now the decision must be made between fates. Where will greatness lead? What destiny will come of this new symbol, this idea? How far will he take it? How far will it take him? The cameras are here, the spotlight is on, the mic is balanced, and the wall of noise has been quieted, hushed in anticipation of greatness taking its rightful place.

If you are what you say you are, a superstar, then have no fear.
